Construction is well under way at the former Office Max site at Crossroads Plaza. The 30,000 square foot site will complete its transformation and reopen as specialty grocer Fresh Thyme Farmers Markets in Fall 2016.
Founded in 2012, Fresh Thyme is a privately held company headquartered outside Chicago. The chain has grown rapidly in its first four years, opening over 60 stores throughout the Midwest and the South. The location at Crossroads Plaza will be its third in Kentucky, following recent openings in Louisville and Newport.
Often described as a cross between Whole Foods and Trader Joes, Fresh Thyme prides itself on its commitment to delivering high quality organic produce at competitive prices. Their stores dedicate over half of their floor space to displaying fresh produce, meats, and seafood, while also featuring over 400 bulk items, a cafe, and an extensive collection of wine and beer.
With one of the highest traffic counts in Lexington (+90,000 ADT) and its immediate proximity to Fayette Mall, Crossroads’ prime location was a huge appeal for Fresh Thyme. Fresh Thyme joins fellow tenants Halloween Express, Tuesday Morning, Walgreens, Subway, Jo-Anns Fabrics, and Gamestop. A brand new Mattress Firm will also join this excellent tenant mix in 2016. Space is currently available for lease at Crossroads; for more information, contact Jason Taylor at (502) 472-7546, or to email him.
